THE RESILIENT HUMAN PROJECT — HARVEST CIRCLE STARTER KIT United we stand. You are not the only one. THE IDEA A modern long khaek: neighbors share the work of one field, then the next. 5–8 people, every two weeks, 75 minutes. Close to zero cost. INVITATION TEMPLATE I’m bringing together a small group to listen and help each other with everyday burdens. We’ll meet every two weeks for 75 minutes. Everyone brings one burden, one specific ask, and one thing they can offer. No pressure to share more than you choose. Would you like to join us at [place/link] on [date/time]? What kind of help would ease your burden? GROUND RULES — READ ALOUD What’s said here stays here. Listen before fixing. No one is a project to be rescued. Everyone gives as well as receives. Respect every faith and no faith; no one pushes their beliefs on anyone. Leave politics at the door. Everyone here is facing the same storm. Anyone may pass. Ask permission before notes, advice, or sharing. Do not promise secrecy if someone is in immediate danger; reach emergency help. MEETING SCRIPT — 75 MINUTES 00–05 Welcome. Read ground rules. Remind everyone they may pass. 05–20 Check in: one word for how you’re really doing. Up to 2 minutes each; about 90 seconds for eight people. 20–55 Burden, ask, offer: one of each. Up to 5 minutes each; about 4 minutes for eight people. 55–70 Match asks with offers. Ask: Would this help? Would you like to make this commitment? No pressure; no match is okay. 70–75 One small action: Who will do what, by when? Confirm the next meeting. For smaller circles, use remaining turn time for listening or clarifying asks. HOST GUIDE Invite a small group. Choose a comfortable, accessible space or video call. Facilitate; do not become everyone’s problem-solver. Keep time with kindness. Rotate attention so no one dominates. Invite quieter voices without forcing sharing. Ask whether a person wants listening, ideas, or practical help before responding. Never pressure a person to give money, disclose details, or accept an offer. Confirm permission before keeping notes. Record the minimum needed for a match. Agree who holds notes, who may see them, and when they will be deleted. Keep the log offline if preferred. Do not upload personal details into AI tools without explicit consent for that use. Check in on prior actions without shame or keeping a ledger of favors. AI AS A PARTNER Untangle a burden into one ask; draft a letter; research resources; organize agreed matches. You review drafts and verify research. Share only what you choose.
